i've cousin who become staff nurse(am i ryt?).
when she's come back from work,she was really depressed.
i guess there are a lot of patient were yelling at the nurse.

yeah it's a tough job, i guess. that's why im preparing for my exposure in the hospital soon... Ive never work in a clinical setting...
but I can say from my experience in my internship before, a lot of patients has attitude problems, all we need to do is understand them coz they are ill. and that their condition is affecting their moods. hehe

yes but in my cousin's case,tat patient was acted tat she was crazy.she ran around the hospital,she dont eat any food,and etc (showing tat she's real crazy).
the reason of y she's acting like tat was bcoz her daughter wont tke cre of her anymore,n she might think,the best way was living at the hospital for free!!(of course lah,government hospital.)

my vacation?
i've got fever there ala.
maybe caused by the wheather.

haha... yeah, there are some patients like that.... they are anxious of what will happen to them especially if they were abandoned by their families.... Kudos to your cousin coz shes doing a great job to that patient hehe.. It takes a lot of patience and understanding for her to handle that patient's behaviour ... haha

hmmn yeah sort of, fred.... we do have psychiatric nursing before...
we were exposed to a mental hospital for a week, too and we were able to interact with the mentally illed people.
mathematics? hahaha maths were included in my first two years in college as part of the curriculum. . . hehe i hate calculating too...

haha oh yeah?! you bettah catch some sleep now if you didnt sleep well lah...

i've a friend who was sent to mental hospital to do some research.
she cannot stand at all.
they are really dangerous.
n i heard they still hv 'want to kill ppl' feeling inside them.

the dangerous patients were kept away from affiliates or interns like us.. the hospital only allowed us to interact with those who are well behaved and recovering patients.

nah ... we didn't have alowance coz that exposure is a prerequisite for us nursing students to pass the subject.... it's not a work or a job.. hehe

but in malaysia,surprisingly,government gv nursing student alowance (about RM 600-700) per month.
but they must tke note tat it was compulsory for them to work under government for 5 years.
(government hospital lah)
they studied about 3 years (only for diploma)
after tat they hv to further their bachelor in other private college.

hw abt u ala?
hw long it was tke to finish ur study?
im interested with nursing actually.

haha we're out of topic now.. i hope the admin wont get mad.. LOLz

anyweiz... there are a lot of nursing students here in the philippines, and the government is not capable to finance allowances ... hehe
but in my case, I graduated from a University.. that helped me and the other students avail more affordable affiliate/intern fees in hospitals. that's the reason the government required University graduates to work in a government hospital for 2 years compulsary... but that was before... there are new policies now, we can land a job abroad as soon as we graduate... but it's still hard though, coz we need to pass some state board exams or other exams.
In here, BSN(bachelor of Science in nursing) degree takes four years and youll get the diploma..
you can pursue masterals and doctorate degrees after that...hehe
so are you planning to take Nursing now, bro? j/k Very Happy

ahhh.. here in the Philippines... salaries of nurses in government hospitals are quite not good... that is why a lot of the nurses here are going out of the country and prefer to work abroad. they want to earn money for their families and have a better way of living....

Yes, BSN can be a pre-med course, fred. You can continue or pursue a medicine course if you really want to become a doctor....
I think dexter has a plan of being a doctor someday... Very Happy
