Yes, a Filipina won a gold medal at Beijing Olympics. She won the 100 meter backstroke. But the gold is not credited to the Philippines but to the USA.

How is that?

She is quarter Filipina like Alan_Ariel, LeChatelier, Boy_bawang and me.LOL

Her name is Natalie Coughlin.

Too bad it's only a demonstration sports. Mabuhay. Another Filipina bowler won gold in 1988 Seoul Olympics in the person of Arianne Cerdena. It was only a demonstration sports. Sigh!

Tsomhlee go was crying because of bad officiating. Oh, I can feel it.
