Back to the topic:
It's official, whenever I see any Detour sign, I get dramatic about it."DE-tooour..."

You hear about someone's street being tarred and you think "Oh, my God, is TARA coming to my town?"

You go to Bangkok for a business trip…At Siam Square you see multiple poster ads of Paula, name it, bus, trains, malls…you buy Lay Chips in a nearby grocery and you see another ad of Taylor and while waiting at the hotel you grab a magazine and see Paula as the cover on it and little you didn’t know your Thai business associate is already in front of you and asked “bpen ngai bâang” (how are you?) & you replied completely oblivious...“Please don’t eliminate us!"

You get an e-mail from your boss with the subject heading "hours of operation" and wonder why he's sending you something about TARA.

You hear the phrase, "has been eliminated," on TV and are disappointed they are talking about the NBA Playoffs.....very disapointed

I recently did my own mini-Amazing Race, a 12,000 mile move that involved a flight overseas along the way.

During the meat of the move, I drove west along I-40. Everytime I passed a Detour sign on the road, I went into Allan-mode: "A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. In this detour, teams decide between North and South. In North, teams exit to the North and avoid the construction. In South, teams continue on the highway, but risk construction as they move to their next pit stop."

It doesn't take much to amuse me.. 8)

dad lecturing a child:

dad: "son in life, in making a decision you have to remember that each has a prons and cons...."

son: "dad are you trying to be allan wu? you could've just said that there are things in life I can't have no matter how badly I need it"
