i am carly smithson, and i am very thrilled and ecstatic in joining world idol 2!!!

my first song i would sing is i don't wanna wait by Paula cole. i like this song because it was also used in the series, dawson's creek, which i really like most. it's also shows the power of positivity, seizing every moment, as if you'll die tomorrow....

i expect that i would give justice to this song, and hopefully i would wow the judges by the range of my voice and the feeling of positivity i have...

Hi, my name is Chris Richardson from Chesapeake, Virginia. Im gonna sing 'Beautiful In my Eyes'.

Half of my life was spent during the 90's . There are a lot of good memories during my childhood that I can happily recall. I have learned a lot, I started to learn how to survive life as early as 11 years old. And through those years, my mom was there to care, guide and show what life is all about, and so I am dedicating this song to her.

'beautiful in my eyes' became one of my all-time favorites. . .in fact I sang this once infront of the class.. lol
It really feels good to sing a song for a special person you loved so dearly. And with this I am expecting to deliver well and i hope that everyone will feel the love I have for my mother.

Hi, I'm Aditi Paul from West Bengal and in the next few weeks I'll be attempting to sing my way into your hearts

I've chosen to perform "Hero" by Mariah Carey. It has always been one of my all-time favourites and listening to it gives me strength from the inside, which is something you definitely need in this competition. The song has a very beautiful yet powerful meaning; that even though we may feel discouraged or down at times, in reality we are "heroes" if we look inside ourselves and see our own inner strength; in time, this will help us "find the way". I believe I can display the power in my voice, the power to express a song's inner meaning, via this song. Not only that, it also goes well with the theme of this week as it was a chartbuster in 1993.

Through my first performance, I hope I'll make the World realise why I'm here and connect with them. I'm expecting to estabilish myself as a forerunner and create a 'wow' impression on the judges as you know "first impression is the last impression"...hehe. I hope to set a bar for the competition and if not then a base from where I can improve and improve and then just GO FOR THE WORLD!!!
