Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
Yes, Jeesan, it was Tisha who told that to Geoff. In an interview, Tisha mentioned there were really times during the race they really wanted to call it quits but she said it was just a spur of the moment. Today, they're still very much in love. Their relationship is stronger as before.

That's very judgemental on your part Camomile and very bias. Of course you know nothing about the person and you never meet him. So to speak like that is very uncalled for.
It is like Ida's saying Geoff is a horrible person without knowing the person. So addressing a certain person as horrible without knowing the person is horrible. It mirrors the personality and breeding of the one who spoke.

jon i want to ask u this... dont take it in wrong sense...
u said " It is like Ida's saying Geoff is a horrible person without knowing the person "...

It depends on the ppl how they take it when they face or see others.... iam not telling Geoff is rude or something like that...

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
We might not know what was happen between the racers during the race.....we as the viewers will only judge them by what was shown and seen on TV....
Like what I've said, all the things happen with a reason....the racers won't give such comment unless something happen between them....as for me....I just judge based of what I've watched....I think that is fair enough
If they are good, I would said they are good, if they are whiny, I would said they are whiny.....
well its OK to look up highly your own favourites team...

I define horrible as "Causing great horror". Ida never knew Geoff at all. For your information, the racers get know each other only hours before the starting line. That statement from Ida was said in leg 3. We know that they had little time to know each other. So Ida's saying Geoff as horrible is really judgemental and bias. Ida definitely know nothing about Geoff in just 3 days or 72 hours of racing. Defnitey not. So to speak infront the TV like that is a NO NO. That act is horrible
For me, well as for my upbringing is concerned, I don't even call a convicted killer for defending himself a horrible person. why? because I know there is a reason, because I have an open and mature mind.
when Ida was attacked at AXN forum especially from aramaitee for having a sex video or having sex from a married man (that is the word o aramaitee), who was the first one to defend her? it is me! told them to give her another chance and that thing is just a mistake. i did not crucify, put down or judge Ida. Why? because I don't know her. Who am I to say she's horrible despite having a sex video?
bottom line is calling a person horrible witout knowng his whole life is horrible.
Ida and the viewers are just the same. There is no difference. You have to know the totality of a person before you can judge him. In this case, Ida and the viewers don't know the totality of Geoff. tisha was right, these people are strangers to them so why should they judge Geoff.

exactly, you don't know what happened in the race so why would you be so bias in telling Geoff was sweet only to his girlfriend. how could you say he was not sweet with the others if you don't know what happened in the race?
camomile wrote:we as the viewers will only judge them by what was shown and seen on TV....
I don't agree. not all viewers because there are viewers who are open-minded and mature. there are viewers who know to separate what is reality and what the show is trying to build up. there are viewers who see TV not as an IDIOT box. There are viewers who view the TV wisely.
camomile wrote:Like what I've said, all the things happen with a reason....
exactly, but i don't understand people who just see what is shown on TV as it is. I don't understand why they are not thinking about what could have been the reason before making a statement on TV (for the racers) and on forums (for fans)
I don't know why people love to judge without thinking what could be the reason
camomile wrote:the racers won't give such comment unless something happen between them....
again i don't understand people or racers who make comments on TV by just knowing the person in days. How I wish they could have some level of maturity.
camomile wrote:as for me....I just judge based of what I've watched....I think that is fair enough
again I don't understand people who just believe on what they see on TV without thinking what could be the reason.
i give you an analogy. You saw a girl telling on TV that your brother raped and robbed her. the girl is a friend of your brother. will you agree with the girl imediately or will you ask your brother's side?
With that explantion Cam, you are saying you believe on the girl immediately. But what I am sayin, you have to get your brother's side first
____
As to your last sentence, I am not a person who love to tease or ignite emotions. I see it as immaturity and unethical. that is one of my most hated behaviours of man. i was raised to understand everything in life. But i will defend a person who is being attacked because i believe every person deserves a second chance, every person is a sinner and no one of us can judge someone based only on what we see on TV.

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
Geoff, Tisha still in the race
Sweethearts Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang keep the flame alive for Filipinos who are rooting for them to win The Amazing Race Asia 3, which airs on AXN on Thursday nights at 9. As the lone Philippine team which made it to the reality competition, Geoff and Tisha make up five of the remaining pairs that are still fiercely competing in the race and gunning for the top prize of $100,000.ADVERTISEMENT
Tisha is best remembered as the former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe winner who had to relinquish her crown because of her Canadian citizenship. Then, of course, she became romantically involved with Paolo Bediones and briefly appeared in programs in the network. Geoff, meanwhile, also had his brief showbiz stint as part of the all-male group Powerboys, with Jordan Herrera, Frank Garcia, Greg Martin and Jay Salas.
Geoff and Tisha vow to carry the flag for the Philippines hopefully up to the finish line and win the race, something that the erstwhile Philippine teams which joined the competition failed to do. In the first season, the two teams from the Philippines fared poorly. Couple Ernie and Jeena Lopez were the first ones to be booted out. Sexy best friends Aubrey Miles and Jacqueline Yu merely finished up to the fourth leg of the race.
The second season saw buddies Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez faring superbly in every leg and were consistently at the forefront of the race. They placed first in eight out of the 11 legs and were touted as the most competitive team. However, while they seemed unbeatable, they only finished third in the finals and also dashed the hopes of Filipinos who were cheering for them to win.
For The Amazing Race Asia 3, Geoff and Tisha are aware they have huge shoes to fill after the highly-competitive stint that Marc and Rovilson displayed in the previous season. Yet, the couple is certain they will bring to the race the love and respect that has been the foundation of their relationship.
"Tisha and I have had a sound relationship from the time we have met," Geoff says. "Now, we are testing our relationship by joining the race."
Geoff and Tisha have displayed their strength and endurance as a team in arduous and grueling tasks for the first five legs of the race. They ate bugs, frogs and maggots in a market in Bangkok, did a bus-cleaning spree and endured a 25-hour bus ride from Ho Chi Minh to Hue in Vietnam, traveling for more than 1,000 kilometers.
They also pounded rice to make rice balls, took the zip line over a jungle forest, caught live chicken, trashed rice stalks, read a Braille alphabet puzzle to decipher a clue, drove a cyclo or a rickshaw in the streets of Vietnam and dug a souvenir silver coin from 100 kilograms of coal.
They would have been the first team to arrive at the pit stop in the first leg that culminated in Chiang Mai, Thailand. However, after sharing a taxi ride with Thai residents Oliver and Mai, the Philippine team decided to play it fair. They selflessly walked away without the cash prize of $10,000.
"It was Thailand and they were helpful to us in getting around," Tisha said at the pit stop, where they were greeted by host Allan Wu and Thai resident Paula Taylor, who was a participant from Season 2.
Kicking off from a new location, in Bangkok when the season unfolded last Sept. 11, The Amazing Race Asia 3 has taken viewers such exciting destinations as Chiang Mai, Ho Chi Minh, Hue and Taipei.
This time, the producers take the competition a notch higher and make it "the toughest race ever," surpassing the challenges, adventures, thrills, excitement, twists and turns and even the drama of the first two seasons.
Clearly enough, the race is harder, faster and more intense, with many unexpected moments that the contestants may not be mentally and physically prepared for. After the fifth episode, however, viewers have yet to see a non-elimination round.
This season sees the first-ever Korean team, made up of brothers Isaac and William Hong, participating in the race. In Season Two, there was a brother-and-sister team from Japan, also a first-timer.
Aside from the Philippine team on The Amazing Race Asia 3, the others who are in the race are actress Ida and heiress Tania from Malaysia; friends A.D. and Fuzzie from Singapore; siblings Henry and Bernie from Malaysia; and buddies Vince and Sam from Hong Kong.
First to be eliminated were cousins Neena and Amit from India; followed by brothers Isaac and William from South Korea; beauty queens Natalie and Pailin from Thailand; father and son Niroo and Kapil from India; and bestfriends Mai and Oliver also from Thailand.
Two teams bailed out of different tasks by opting to take the four-hour penalty and subsequently being eliminated. Former Miss Universe Natalie Glebova (2005) abandoned the roadblock in Vietnam, where she was supposed to arrange seven emperor coins according to the ruler's reign. The coins represented the seven emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. Natalie and her fellow beauty queen partner Pailin, who represented Thailand in the 2006 Miss Earth pageant, were eliminated in the third leg.
In the fourth episode also in Vietnam, Niroo and Kapil nearly quit out of sheer disappointment when they couldn't complete a task. Kapil also refused to finish his fermented tofu cooked in duck blood. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in that leg.
When Oliver and Mai were booted out in the fifth leg in Taipei, Oliver frustratingly remarked, "I know it would be tough, but I didn't know it would be this tough."
Will Philippine team Geoff and Tisha muster enough strength to make it to the finals? Let's keep our fingers crossed that they bring honor to the country by winning The Amazing Race Asia 3. - Leah C. Salterio (Philstar News Service, www.philstar.com)

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
Hi Zarell. That is actually what I am pointing out. People jumps into conclusion. They believe too much on what they saw on TV without studying what could be the reason of such action.
I gave an example earlier - an analogy to dissect. Let's say Zarell, your father is shown on TV being mugged by a female friend you also know. The female is accusing your father that he raped her. Will you immediately agrees with the lady or will you want to hear the explanation of your father first?
That is just an example. So, we viewers have two options. We choose to be rational or we choose to judgemental.
As for Diane, like Geoff, the other racers were talking behind them too. They were telling Diane as "bitch". But the show failed to show footage of Diane bitching around. In other words, AXN failed to observed its moral obligation. TARA 2 ended without seeing Diane being a bitch so she is a victim of bad editing.
Don't also laugh at my argument about bad editing because this is true. I should know this because of my experience in the television.
Going back to Diane, she is sweet. Actually, she is one of the only few racers who are very humble to befriend with the fans. She's very interactive and very accomodating.

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
For Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang, the toughest thing about ‘The Amazing Race’ is staying together.
Finally. Tonight’s “Amazing Race Asia” saw Team Philippines, Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang, finish in first place.
At the pitstop in Macau, host Allan Wu checked the couple in with
the magical words, “You’re team number one.” This, after a harrowing
leg that involved climbing the mast of the Macau Tower, which, at at
338 meters, is the tenth tallest free-standing tower in the world.
Now, while this is just one segment of the race, Geoff and Tisha’s
victory puts them in a prime position the win the entire competition.
This season is shaping up to be the toughest of the series so far, and
the couple is doing whatever it takes to make it work — a few yeilds
and some scheming is all part of the game, after all.
What’s more, Supreme sources say Geoff and Tisha do have a pretty
good chance of bagging the Emmy Award-winning franchise’s USD 100,000
top prize. Of course, details are all under wraps, but we phoned in on
the couple to see just how they’re holding up at the pit stop.

What are your thoughts on how you’ve been portrayed in the show so far?
Geoff: I guess this is a Geoff question. (Laughs) I
understand that at the end of of the day, “The Amazing Race” is a TV
show. It’s not the Olympic games. There are things in the program that
are sensationalized. I mean, I know I don’t go to a restaurant, get
the wrong order, and start blowing my whistle. (Laughs).
But I’m not going to hide behind, “Oh, it’s all editing!” I don’t
have any problems about the way we’ve been portrayed as a team. I don’t
see anything I would object to. Bottom line: It’s reality TV. And what
happened on the show wasnour reality at the time.
Talk a bit about your conflict with the other teams.
Tisha: Well, in this last episode, we did yield a team. But we don’t
see that as conflict. We wanted to get ahead, and we yielded a strong
competitor. It wasn’t out of a personal vendetta or anything — of
course, others do it for that reason — but in our case, it was just the
spirit of competition. That’s the only reason we used it.
Geoff: Conflict comes with the territory. Some people get along with
others better. Other teams formed alliances. And that only forced us to
work harder and be stronger.
What’s the toughest thing you’ve had to do on the race so far?
Geoff: Stay together. (Laughs)
You two are still together, right?
Geoff: Oh yeah.
Tisha: I guess the toughest thing on the race is just dealing with
things you don’t usually deal with — like not eating or sleeping. And
there’s the pressure of the physical tasks. It’s trying to keep
everything together. If you lose your composure on this race, it’s your
downfall. But in terms of tasks, I think the toughest thing I’ve had to
do so far is eat stinky tofu. (Laughs.)
Does it get worse from here?
Geoff: The last two episodes have been really hard, but expect things to let up...
What’s one thing you’ve learned from watching Mark and Rovilson last season?
Geoff: I was gonna say know your flags, but I think the whole nation learned that. (Laughs.)
Tisha: For me, it’s that you can run the race and be very nice and be happy and stuff –
Geoff: But that’s when you’re so far ahead already.
Tisha: I think the biggest lesson is to race smart and pay attention
to details. There are physical and mental aspects to this race. You
need to combine the two.
Will you win “The Amazing Race?”
Geoff: This is me dodging the question. (Laughs)
Tisha: I’ll say, we’ve already won just by being selected. We’ve
already won just by running the race. It’s like the Emmys — you know,
just to be nominated is such an honor.
Geoff: Yeah, and to be this far is the race is not only a cherry on top of a cake, but a bunch of cherries.
Supreme asks: Who are your bets to win “The Amazing Race Asia?”
“The Amazing Race Asia Season 3″ airs Thursdays at 9PM on cable channel AXN.

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
I really love racers who use yield and u-turn because that is the purpose of this race. I hate it when these road signs are being wasted.
I love the fact that Tisha and Geoff decided to use it and were rushing to the scene so that they could yield Bernie and Henry. It's like seeing Kynt and Vyxzin u-turning Nick and Don in India.
But Henry's reaction is a NO No for me. Hehe

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
yes... i agree with jon.... racers have to use the yield or u-turn wisely....
I liked when geoff n tisha made their yielding decision...
surely yield will eat sometime of the yielded racers... at the same time if the yielded team should relax n wait so that they can perform the next task... if not it will make them to stay away from the race....
its a race... so the yielded team has to take it in a good way....
Henry n bernie did their tasks well....but i dint liked them when they didnt spoke with tisha....

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
Geoff, Tisha top Amazing Race Asia 3 HK-Macau leg
Yielding the Chans
Sam and Vince were the first to leave on a ferry to Macau but Geoff and Tisha outsmarted the three other teams by offering to buy tickets from passengers already in line on a ferry that was already leaving.
"The yield just gives me an excuse not to be nice anymore," said an irritated Henry.
Wet and wild leg
Vince and Sam were the first to arrive at Dragon Boat Pier in Sai Van Lake where they were asked to paddle a dragon boat. The Singapore team then ran to do the Chance detour where they played blackjack and on to second place in the race.

Filipino racers Geoff Rodriguez and Tisha Silang emerged the winners of the Hong Kong to Macau leg of the "Amazing Race Asia 3" after a road detour allowed them to overtake race leaders Sam Wu and Vince Chung.
Geoff and Tisha, who started second in the race, were close on the heels of the boys from Hong Kong who always managed to stay one step ahead of them. Making the race even more difficult were the other teams A.D. Chan and Fuzzie Sirajudin from Singapore, siblings Bernie and Henry Chan from Malaysia and Ida Nerina and Tania Khan, also from Malaysia.
The 26-year-old Geoff, however, made a tactical decision during a detour in Macau where they were asked to choose between Dance or Chance. In Dance, the two players had to learn and complete a lion dance to receive their next clue. In Chance, the team had to win nine hands of blackjack in a casino against a professional dealer to receive the clue.
Geoff wisely chose the Dance challenge but not without some difficulty. At one point, he even slipped and fell on the wet pavement as he tried to learn the difficult lion dance.
In the end, Team Philippines was able to finish their task ahead of Sam and Vince who had to finish their nine winning hands of blackjack. The slight time difference allowed the Filipinos to race to A-ma Cultural Village and complete one final task -- to complete the correct sequence of the Chinese Zodiac -- and on to the pit stop for the win.
For winning the Hong Kong-Macau leg, the two each won a 40-inch Sony Bravia and a Sony Playstation 3.
Yielding the Chans
Geoff and Tisha made several tactical decisions in the Hong Kong - Macau leg that would give them a slight advantage over the other teams.
After getting goldish at Mong Kok, Hong Kong, the teams were told to board a ferry to Macau where they would be asked to climb the 338-meter Macau Tower.
Sam and Vince were the first to leave on a ferry to Macau but Geoff and Tisha outsmarted the three other teams by offering to buy tickets from passengers already in line on a ferry that was already leaving.
In Macau, Vince was able to climb the tower first followed by Geoff. Team Philippines, however, decided to "yield" Henry and Bernie, forcing the Malaysian team to stay in one spot until an hourglass had run out.
"The yield just gives me an excuse not to be nice anymore," said an irritated Henry.
After the time lapse, the Malaysians ran into the Philippine team at the tower as Geoff finished the task. Geoff and Tisha, however, preferred to keep quiet since they knew that the Malaysian team was still angry.
"I wanted to tell them that it was just business," said Tisha as footage showed Henry sitting some distance away from her.
Henry also called the Philippine team "scum" and told the other teams that there was a bad smell in the area after the Filipinos had left.
Wet and wild leg
The Hong Kong - Macau leg was also one of the most rain-soaked phases of the race. As rain started pouring, the remaining team members who had yet to complete the climb atop Macau Tower were allowed to climb only at a certain height of the tower before going back down.
Vince and Sam were the first to arrive at Dragon Boat Pier in Sai Van Lake where they were asked to paddle a dragon boat. The Singapore team then ran to do the Chance detour where they played blackjack and on to second place in the race.
Henry and Bernie were able to overtake AD and Fuzzie at the Chance detour but were unlucky in getting a taxi going to the pit stop. In the end, they placed fourth in the race while AD and Fuzzie placed third.
Ida and Tania placed last in the race but were not eliminated because it was a predetermined leg where no one would be eliminated. As a consequence, however, the team must take first place in the next leg or incur a 30-minute penalty in the subsequent leg of the race.

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
I commend Geoff and Tisha's strategy during the Macau leg.
They really exhausted all the resources like using the yield and it paid off.
The last part was a nail-biter where Sam and Vince almost caught up with them but thank God they figured out the zodiac signs just in time.
Kudos to Geoff and Tish!

If they did not give the first place to Mai and Oliver in leg one then Geoff and Tisha could have been the winningest team in this season.

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
Remember when they found out that the gates open at 6am, they checked in at a hotel instead of waiting at the gates? Then they returned around 5am to the gates with Tisha looking and smelling good and freshened up and found out that A/F and I/T were already there. :)

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
They went and stayed in the hotel.....
they returned at 5am and told their taxi driver to wait....
while ida n tania told their driver to make his presence around 6.15am...
ida n tania received their blessing first, but geoff n tisha moved to the next task quickly in the taxi which was waiting for them....
I think the Kolam task was really a easy one when compared to fish.....

Re: Geoff and Tisha - Philippines
I think it was a wise decision that Geoff and Tisha checked in a hotel.
They were able to rest and freshened up.
That rejuvinated them and i believe helped them to be more calm, composed and collected.
They really needed to regroup and that's what they did.
