Welcome to La Altagracia, Dominican Republic

This is Punta Cana Beach, a famous European destination in the Caribbean. This is the tenth pitstart of the race around the world. Teams get their clue here after a 12 hour mandatory rest period.

ROUTE INFO: Make your way to the province of Monte Cristi. Go to the capital city of San Fernando de Monte Cristi and find the famous landmark of Monte Cristi Pipe Wreck, an archeological site in the Greater Antilles. Swim to the beach and at the seafloor you will find hundreds of shipwrecks lying underneath. Out of the more than hundred shipwrecks, only one contain the clue. But you must get your diving apparatus first in one of the municipalities listed below:

The most prominent surviving buildings include six very large Mesoamerican step pyramids, labeled Temples I - VI, each of which support a temple structure on their summits. Some of these pyramids are over 60 meters high (200 feet).
