Episode 8 of TARA 3 - Spoilers and Speculations

Al-Hafyz might be right. They might go to mainland China to book for flights but I guess that would be too risky since Hong Kong and Singapore have busier airports so the possiblity of taking a faster flight in these airports are highly possible.

Julrsrum13, if it is a roadblock then there might be another extra task prior to that jump. But I still don't have the feeling this is another roadblock.

Just another point I have gathered here. We have been doubting Tisha and Geoff's financial capability to get a helicopter ride for around 2,000 HK dollars. What if the ride is a free support of the Filipino community in Macau.

I watched Leg 7 again and saw the Filipinos cheering at the fountain in Senado Square. They were saying "Wooohooo. Philippines. Go Philippines"

I have thought these Filipinos knew they're countrymen are in a competition. I bet they also know TARA. They might have pooled in their hardly earned money and booked the helicopter ahead of time. Someone might have gathered in the hotel where the racers were billeted and they assisted Tisha and Geoff get the better transport.

This blog is written by a Singaporean who saw Allan Wu in Singapore Airport on 31 May 2008. He's making connection to Cochin, India and his family just rushed to the airport to see him. It was around 3-5 pm.

Then we know Allan was in no way useful during that day in Macau when the racers were supposed to be having rest or some tasks.

This means one thing. This leg is not a TBC. Now, we can conclude this is DEFINITELY AN ELIMINATION LEG.

I think all teams will definitely ride an airplane from hongkong to cochin via singapore. Like Avalanche said, these both are busy airports. Of course, Geoff and Tisha will asked the people in charge of flight shedules in hongkong international airport. They will answered them back the only earliest flights.

Hongkong to Singapore:

: Then, maybe Geoff and Tisha asked what is the next earliest flight:(while in Hongkong International Airport).

That's why Geoff and Tisha were pretty sure that all reaming teams has no choice but to ride the next earliest flight which was at 1:30 pm via Singapore Airlines.

I wrote this in my blog. Re: G/T limited time in catching up the 11:20 flight from Hong Kong to Singapore even taking the helicopter out of Macau:

we have to reconsider 31 May as another busy racing day for the racers
in Macau. This is where the idea of having the jump in this date is
coming from. The pit stop could be 24 hours instead and they were
released in the afternoon of 31 May 2008. G/T and S/V (Sam and Vince)
might have finished the bungy jump in the afternoon of that same day
while the remaining 3 teams had it the following morning. So, in the
morning of 01 June, G/T might have taken the first helicopter ride to
Hong Kong at 9 AM which S/V failed to do so. If this is the case, G/T have enough time to catch up with the 11:20 flight to Singapore.

So, can someone determine if these shots of Henry are taken in the morning?

I think Bernie did the jump in the morning while Tisha did it in the afternoon..

Could this be the clue:

I am having nosebleed in Banzai's time calculation. I am slow Don't worry Julstum understands you. I have something as a proof that G/T did the jump in the afternoon and the rest in the following morning. But I am a little confused.

that Bungee jump in Macau Tower closes at 9PM. But in Nikano's table, it says Bungy jump closes at 6PM. Which is which?

But in this table I have found out, it says bungy jump closes at 6PM also.


Let's say Bungy jump is only until 6PM and mandatory rest period is 24 hours, G/T and S/V are released before 6PM of May 31. They can do the jump before it closes.

I watched Episode 7 again and I say G/T and S/V checked in at 5PM, I guess.

AD/F, H/B and I/T can't beat the deadline so they have to settle on the next morning.

Thanks for the time on Ida's watch. At least we can now safely say Geoff and Tisha are ahead of them in the pitstop. At least this is so far the one of the infos we are sure of.

I don't see any shadow so I guess the confession is between 4:10PM-6:10PM. This is a long leg.

From Sam's Facebook. Since most of us don't have access on it, I put it in my blog.

Zodiac signs. I only knew 4-5 of them in sequence, so even though we
only took 2 tries, it wasn't fast enough as G and T had been there
earlier and tried more combinations before-hand. We were, again,
minutes behind. Thus far, we call Leg 3 (Hue) and Leg 7 (Macau) as the
ones that got away!! hahaha! Achingly, painfully close!!!!

You are right Banzai. They are just minutes behind Geoff and Tisha.

Re: bungy jump. Thanks for that. I guess she's Ida. That explains why she's doing it at noon.

Check out the wind. There are some wind between 5:30AM to 5PM.
There's no wind between 5PM - 8:30PM.

So that Pitstop shot is between noon and 5PM.

How long does each team have to wait in line in order to jump? 15 minutes?

If 15 minutes, then it's like this:

10:00AM, Geoff jumps
10:15AM, Tisha jumps
10:30AM, Sam jumps
10:45AM, Vince jumps
11:00AM, Fuzzie
11:15AM, A.D.
11:30AM, Bernie
11:45AM, Henry

 

12 noon, Ida jumps
12:15PM, Tania jumps

So it's not an equalizer. Ida & Tania are 2 hours behind.

Bungee jump could be an equalizer if this is a roadlock.. And at 10:15, Geoff and Tisha can finish the task and head directly to Hongkong..

It takes less or more than 15 minutes to do the jump depending in the experience. if you have done it in the fast I guess it takes faster. On the other note, if you are a newbie it takes longer since the staff has to brief you over.

About the wind theory in the pitstop, it's a case to case basis. If you are near the sea or pond or lake for that matter, it is likely the wind is stronger there. You may not feel the breeze in the city but you can feel it in those places I cite for as examples

Regarding the wind theory Banzai has proposed, I guess he's trying to tell the wind at that time was strong or there was a breeze.

In the graph he presented:

1.from 5:30 AM to 5 PM of June 2, the wind is at the speed of 1-5 mph.

2. from 5 PM to 8:30 PM of June 2, the wind is at the speed of 0 mph so it is normal, calm

3. from 8:30 PM to 10:15 PM of June 2 the wind is at the speed again of 1-4 mph
________________

So, since we see the palm leaves swaying by the wind, we assume Geoff and Tisha checked in any time from 5:30 AM to 5 PM.

So, we have to determine that speed of the wind by looking at Banzai's video. Do you think that speed is 1 mph or 2mph or 5mph?



For me, I am not an authority on this but I guess that is 3mph.



And when I looked at the graph, I observed that these are the time the wind was most likely at 3 mph:

1. 7:45 AM
2. 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM
3. 12 Noon
4. 4:30 PM
5. 9:30 PM

So, Geoff and Tisha checked minutes earlier than any of those time listed above.

Considering the amount of light in the background and my wind analysis, I say Geoff and Tisha checked in at 12 NOON the safest.

Try what I did and let's compare.

I am impressed how Banzai thought of using that wind meter and you're analysis Jon is perfect I think.

But I just want to correct Banzai here. The pitstop in Macau was in May 30 and not May 31. I also think the time gap is short. H/B, AD/F and I/T were seen all together in the Casino Hotel so the gap whould be 15-20 minutes only. G/T and S/V are 1 hour ahead only. That is my interpretation and I watched the video again to observe this.

I think we are not agreeing on one point about the time Tisha did the bungee jump. I read the whole thread and some of us say the bungee jump was in the morning (let's say June 1) and some of us say it afternoon (let's say May 31)

But this is the best part when we are speculating. At least we are presenting all possible angles and then we just conclude in the end. I love it guys. Keep them coming.

But we failed to refute this find by Julsrum13.

Well, Banzai seems like he thinks all the jumps were on the same morning of 01 June (Am I right about here, Banzai?) while some of us thinks some shots are in the afternoon and some are in the morning.

Later, I will try to file all our arguments on this point and I try to do a Benjamin Franklin. What I mean is I will try to list down all the arguments that tell us the shots are taken on the same day and another list of arguments that tell us the shots are taken on different days. Then it's up to us to conclude. (Let me just finish my work but I promise to come back)

Yeah. I agree with Avalanche that Tisha jumped in afternoon.

My explanations are:

180 degrees = 12 pm
270 degrees = 6 pm
360 or 0 degrees = 12 am
90 degrees = 6 am

Yes, Tisha is also doing the skyjump but Ida is doing the bungee jump. Will they do both jump or this is influenced by the time they arrived in the tower? :?:

I think if it's a bungy jump they have to wear dark blue suit. If it's a skyjump, it should be sky blue suit. If it's skywalk and mast climb, it should be orange.



Tisha is wearing sky blue but Ida has no special suit. Why?

Actually every state in india runs its own public transport service....

The Buses seen when geoff was carrying are in RED color... Kerala public buses are to be painted in RED only....

About zoo/Museum there are only 2 options.
1.Trivanathapuram(capital of kerala)
2.Trissur

Both places can be approached bu bus,taxi or AUTORICKSHAW

So, this is another proof that the place where Geoff is seen carrying a fish is in Cochin. Cochin is in the state of Kerala.

These are the screen caps Sprity is referring to. Look at the background and you will see a bus painted in RED.

I guess Tisha and Ida did both the bungee jump.
