TARA 3 GALLERY OF SPOILERS and SPECULATIONS

The toughest Asian Race, sure, but as tough as any US Race too I'd say. The first few legs in particular are punishing and we've thrown in a few surprises for the viewers. Take nothing for granted How tough will it be? Right from the very first challenge. And the second is a biggie. As soon as you see it you'll know what I mean. And don't worry, the second episode is no push over. I've never seen so many bruises in a Race let alone a single leg. One of the big factors in this series is the heat and humidity. It's there all the time. Sometimes it's hard for that to come across on TV but believe me, it gets to the teams when there is no let up. The way the route is set up for this series I would best describe as "relentless". We wanted the teams to be always on the go, to be always challenged. And I thank all of the viewers who have given me their feedback over the past two seasons on what type of challenges you like. I'm not sure the Racers will thank you for it but I have included much of that feedback in developing the third series. Enjoy!

From the picture, we can see three teams. In the middle, they look like a Filipino team. On the left side, they are definitely Indians. On the right side, they could be either Malaysians or Singaporeans.

starting from left: India team, singapore team, Filipino team and the China team

Yamagato, please remember that the original post was made way way back before the teams were revealed at AXN forum. So I don't have much idea about the teams. But for sure you agree with me that I predicted the Indian team (for obvious reason) and the Filipino team.

From the promotional videos of the teams, it seems like they started the race in Thailand. Then I am right.

The bug-eating task seems to be the first task and then they will be directed to look for a field or a ranch for that matter





This is the task - could be the roadblock.

Yay! I can now safely say that the starting line for TARA is in Thailand. The exact place has been told to me but I am only waiting for a confirmation before I say it here. But definitely it is in Bangkok, Thailand and not China. Anyways, I have always been convinced that it was in Bangkok.

Okay, the starting line of Amazing Race Asia is in Bangkok, Thailand.

Its the KING RAMA I MONUMENT:

Just be careful..there are lots of King Rama's monument but this monument is the I and not 1 or3 or 9

The race (Amazing Race Asia 3) started in King Rama I Monument. They will go to Khao San Road, Bangkok for an eating challenge. They gonna eat fried bugs.

After that they will be leaving out of Bangkok and they will travel by bus in two groups to Chaing Mai for an off road buggies in Chaing Mai X-Center. Did I hear it right that they had the choice to bungee jump???

There. And we'll see if these are true on the first episode.

Here's a little info about King Rama I Monument:

Otherwise known as King Puttayodfa, this double life-size monument to King Rama I was built to mark the city's 150th anniversary in 1932, along with the Puttayodfa Memorial Bridge next to which it sits. It was designed by HRH Prince Naris, and architect Silpa Bhirasri sculpted it in bronze. Born on March 20, 1736, King Rama I was the first king in the Chakri Dynasty which continues to this day. He ascended to the throne on April 6, 1782, and died 27 years later.

Yay! This is the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2006 in Chiang Mai, Thailand

So it is most likely that there is a pitsop in Chiang Mai and this interview in this picture



was taken in a place where they were held up for mandatory rest period. Now, we understand why they are wearing the same clothes they sported in that bug-eating challenge in Khao San Road.

And the abundance of plants in the area justifies that the place where they had rest is the "Royal Flora Ratchaphruek 2006" .

I just want to share these photos I have saved in my files 2 days ago. These are bird's eye view of the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek.

For the information of all our members, Jaa is the one who spoiled us about Royal Flora Ratchaphruek. Thai is the one who spoiled us about King Rama I Monument as the starting line of TARA 3.

You've heard all these here. So, thanks to them.

This hill with a single tree on its top is the possible first pitstop of TARA 3. Did you hear this first here again?? Hmmmm, we'll see!











I have a 10-minute video of this place but I did not include here anymore.

The place is nice. You have to visit this if you are going to Chiang Mai.

I am giving you an idea what could have been happened in the first leg,

1. The race started at the foot of King Rama I Monument or better known as King Puttayodfa Monument. (Don't be confused since there are other monuments of the same name except that there is King Rama I or II or 6) in Saphan Phut.

It is interesting to note that the place is very near the Golden Palace and the Golden Mount. If you have watched TARA I, Golden Mount is the place where they had the first task in Thailand after a car washing in Singapore. The area is very signifant to the Thai people since this is also the area where the seat of government is located. In fact, King Rama I is the founder of Bangkok.

2. Then the contestants were seen doing an eating challenge at Khao San Road in Bangkok.

3. From the promotional videos, the racers were seen boarding buses going to Chiang Mai, a province in the North. Chiang Mai is considered the Summer Capital of Thailand since the climate is cold. But prior to this, there might be another task they performed since there are racers seen in the video who had change outfit. Bernie and Henry are one of them.

4. The teams arrive in Chiang Mai in the following morning and they collected their next clue at Chiang Mai Provincial Juvenile Court. Thanks to Jaa who confirmed this and to Neobie of RFF who first proposed the idea.

5. The teams went to Chiang Mai X-centre to do off-road buggies and bungee jumping or other tasks.

6. They headed to Royal Flora Ratchaphruek for the first pitstop of the race and where they had their mandatory rest period.

That is a perfect place for a pitstop. It's wonderful. Our small community have gone far.We initially planned to have this as our hide out but now we are growing slowly.

Don't forget to mention the effort of benj and eragon. Benj is responsible for leaking the name of Geoff Rodriguez and Eragon named Tisha Silang. Eragon is the first one who had given us the idea of a South Korean team for this season. What else can we us for? And you, Jonlover, revealed the starting line and Royal Flora.You provided us the first picture of Mai and Oliver. That's awesome. You all read these first here.

If there are really Chinese version then that sighting in Beijing Airport is not TARA.

When I revisited the blog of our witness of the Hong Kong leg, I noticed from her pictures the crew of TARA 3 waiting for the racers to check in or probably was setting up the filming equipments. Just take your time to notice the crew in the picture. My advise is for you to have you imagination works this time. LOL

It's Blake Pier at Stanley. That's the official name.

Speculate on these facts:

TARA3 launched in Makati, Philippines the other night.

Season 1 was launched in Malaysia and the eventual winners were Malaysians.

Season 2 launch was held in Singapore and two Singaporeans won the race.

I don't know if I have shared this to anyone of you but I remember when AXN was updating their website with the profiles of the teams competing on TARA 3, I saw pictures of Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, OSAKA and GOA wwhich were removed immediately.

So I made an speculation that we'll see these places during the race.

I decided to put this here since I gathered an evidence just now claiming TARA 3 passed through these places. If I get the confirmation and go-signal, I will tell you more about this. Or else this will be just another speculation.
