Episode 9 of TARA 3 - Spoilers and Speculations

If the choices are Fergusson and Wadia, I am guessing Wadia. The window/doorway curve outlines are a bit different in Fergusson.

Regarding the mode of transportation the racers will take from Cochin to Pune. I think they will ride the airplane since I believe Sam and Vince checked in after 11 am.

If the train to Pune leaves at 11 PM on Jun 2, Vince and Sam can't catch it up. The train schedule to Pune is once a week only and for sure the racers won't get any ticket since it has been fully booked even before June 2.

We have an airport in Pune and in the nearby cities of Mumbai and Bangalore.

Re: searching books in the campus. That's a good idea since we saw this in TAR 7 in Argentina but I don't really think they will go to a school.

Probably the task is somewhere near those schools

their getting smarter in covering up details in the previews.... so hard to speculate....

if TARA is following the TAR trend, the last roadblock should be a mental challenge... a roadblock places they've been and things they've do in the previous leg... in TARA 2, their arranging the flags of the country they've go rite... :o

i think the college or the university is the pitstop but this is the TBC leg....

our speculations before was very very off .... the things that we are right were the roadblock (bungy jump), pitstop (bolgatty), detour (fish) and some info.... from the preview, what i can speculate are...
1. the roadblock will be playing cricket... in the preview only Geoff played while Tish were commenting something... if i'm not mistaken "Geoff doesn't play sport often" something like that....
2. the detour will be carrying a lot of pots using a cart (Ida & Tania doing it in the preview) and grinding something (Sam & Vince doing it in the preview)

need to watch the preview again for further analysis....

the cricket task is NOT a roadblock.

geoff will not do another roadblock because tisha only has 3, they'd rather have this leg done by tisha, and the final two by geoff.

they are intelligent racers, they must know this.

we also don't see any bags. normally, teams have their bags with them AT the pitstop.

last preview, aside from the bungy task, HB were no longer shown.

if it's any clue, they didn't show AD and Fuzzie to have specualtors like us concentrate more to the other racers.

they did show AD & Fuzzie.. I think Jon already post the pic of them..

A.d n fuzzie are shown in the preview... if u watch clearly when the auto makes its turn in a road u can see them.....

I am having connection problem so I will just answer your questions without attaching the vidcap.



1. Fuzzie is shown in the preview. Sprity and Nazrin are right. If you browse this thread furhter, Banzai posted the vidcap showing Fuzzie. And the last part of the video while the camera is zooming on the Indian men wearing the turbans, you may hear Fuzzie saying "The guys in the caps are quite cute!" Well, that Fuzzie admiring a man.



2. Regarding the the vidcap where Sam and Vince were giggling. Yes, I took back my statement. I also don't think it is the pitstop now. They seem like joking around with another team. They maybe waiting for hours of operation, train ride, I don't know.



3. We were thinking it was Punjab earlier but we found out it's Pune, India since:


A. the stadium where Geoff is playing the cricket is in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium/Club of Maharashtra in Pune,

B. the number of the autorickshaw Geoff is riding bears MH which means Maharashtra - the state where Pune is located,


C. The writing seen in the preview is Marathi - the official language and writing of Maharashtra



D. The road seen in the preview is Laxmi Road - the most popular street in Pune

E. The are where Sam and Vince are laughing is either Wadia College or Fergusson College

F. The sugarcane stall is visible in all corners in Pune

G. The pot stall seen in the video is visible in Pune especially in the roads going out of the city

4. Punjab, India is not really dangerous though it's near Pakistan border and not Afghanistan. On the other border is Punjab (yes, same name), Pakistan. Punjab in India is actually near Delhi. The fighting in India is in Kashmir.

5. You may be right that the cricket is not a roadblock. We also don't know.

6. This leg could be NEL/TBC or EL. We don't know. But is possible to have a NEL before the finale. It has been done many times in TAR (7 is one and also 5 I think)

7. You seem like you're sure about the Saigon leg was supposed to be a TBC. Wanna share why did you say so?

Old Yerawada Market is opposite a clearing. It also is in front a wide street. there are a couple of small buildings beside the road. the one that jonlover suggests could probably be a temple, could also probably be one of the buildings there.


That's what i have right now, i'll check other sites with a market place beside a clearing.

While i also saw the pictures of the Nehru Stadium that jonlover posted and agrees that i could well be the stadium we are looking for, Nehru stadium seemed much bigger in other pictures. and much greener.

and the sides of the stadium where G&T are playing cricket seemed very dilapidated.

but the building at the back of the main hall is too much a give away.

This place is calle the "CITY POST CHOWK" in Laxmi Road. I see the famous Dagadusheth Temple and the Mandai Area. The shopping area of Tulashibaug is walking distance from here.




This is somewhere in Laxmi Road. That is a traditional and very natural way about getting sugarcane juice.



It's the Film & Television Institute of India. You can see here the OLD Indian
studios and a museum about Indian cinema. It is in Law college Road.

The first
one is some where in old Pune. Maybe Laxmi Road or one of the old
WADAS.


The second one is of a sugarcane juice stall. They are
everywhere in season. No particular area. They are wheel barrows and
move from here to there all the time.


The third pic is in Fergusson
College or Wadia College. Both have that kind of Driveway.


The forth
pic is of the potters who sell their wares on the road. You will find
them anywhere on the main road, especially any roads leading out of the
city. There is no particular place these guys sit.

They have differently answers about the area where Sam and Vince are standing. Anu says it could be Wadia University or Fergusson College but Gourav says it's the Film and Television Institute of India.

Gourav also identified where the pottery is located.

the "11PM bus theory" suggests that they MIGHT not be able to get to the bus that is scheduled to leave only once a week.

commenting back on my post, i found out that the typical summer months are from March to May, with maximum temperatures
ranging from 30 to 38 °C (85 to 100 °F). The warmest month in Pune is
April - owing to the lack of greens in the cricket field.
