I looked into the Snake Canyon or Oman Grand Canyon as suggested by Janet and I found out that one part of it is called Via Feratta. It is here where one can do zip-lining.

This place is the highest mountain in Oman and this is takes a long drive from the city proper.

I think Sam & Vince's cat task was the Vietnamese chicken task. That's where they chase and deliver the chicken. There's no such task as chasing cat. So I think the swimming task is in Oman. I see a lot of waters in the intro/flash. What was their spoiler again?

According to Anthonyctf, one of the roadblocks say CAT and thy have to deliver a dozen of cats. Another is swimming but the there is a mental challenge along with it.

I have to agree that there are many beaches in Oman which goes the same to any other Gulf countries.

From my Omani friend:

Carpet stores can be find in Salalah and Nizwa. Local carpets can be found out in Shatti Al-Qurm. Also in the long and winding road going to Jebel Shams, you can easily buy directly from the local weavers.

from the preview, it seems GT is ahead in the hours of operation wait. followed by SV then IT...

it seems Hours of operation for a task... not for detour... you can see Sam's clothes (grey) in the RB (because Vince can't help him) is different from the wait (red)...

Geoff is wearing the same singlet in the Train vid and the wait vid...

Via ferrata according to wikipedia is italian for iron road. It refers to a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, stemples, ladders, and bridges. They are found in several countries.

Of the three in Oman, Snake Canyon via ferrata is the most likely roadblock for the tara 3. Why? Of the other two, 'Grand Canyon' via ferrata doesn't involve ziplines and Bandar Khayran involves ziplines but they traverse sea cliffs and we certainly didn't see sam hanging above a body of water.

I observed this:

What is that marker on top of the clue box?

At first I was thinking it might be an intersection but it is weird to put it at this point and if it's an intersection, the first two teams could have been working on the tasks now.

Is there any other road sign with a marker like that?

But looking at them, they are like waiting for hour of operation. Goeff and Tisha were first in the site followed by Vince and Sam and Ida/Tania.

AD and Fuzzie are walking here to Via Ferrata 2. In order to reach the area where to do the zipline, you have to walk around the rim of the canyon.

You can take a look at this PICASSA ALBUM to have an idea how they will reach the location.

and G&T should be later then S/V, I/T for more than 1 hour as they spent too much time on getting lost !!!!!!!

Hi Cedric. They are travelling from Pune, India to Muscat, Oman so they will be equalized in the airport. All leads will be scrapped then and all of them are back to zero.

Could be a Roadblock. Ida is walking toward Tania.
It's a long distance to Tania so Tania is waiting for Ida. Therefore Ida is doing the Roadblock.
That's on the 2nd day. She changed her red T-shirts to a white tank.

Looks like both happen at the morning because the sky is blue..

I guess the 2nd pic. goes first and next is the 1st pic.

If you will watch the preview,

All of the team open the clue. As you said, those pictures are in the same location. It means that, when A.D and Fuzzie, arrived, they get their next clue.

I agree with you Jonlover and Banzai that all teams must be there to get their next clue.. or maybe,, they are waiting the hours of operation then A.D and Fuzzie make it on the time..

Muscat, Oman is famous for its souqs. It also boasts of having the worlds largest persian carpet. Carpets are also widely sold in Oman which makes me think that the task involving racers searching through carpets probably took place in Muttrah Souk in Muscat.

Initially, i thought that it took place in one of those villages in Jabal Shams or Wadi Ghul. But the room or shop where the carpets were stored looked a bit too posh for a weaving village so far out in the country.

Hi Janet. Souq is the Arabic name for market. In Oman, it is actually common throughout the country to see carpet stores. We can easily see them also in malls. Not only in Oman but mostly all the Arab countries. So, we can not easily conclude the exact location where Geoff and Tisha are doing carpet task unless we can match it to an interior of a named carpet store.

True, but Muttrah is famous among them, one of the oldest even. Probably most accessible too.

Come to think of it, I only saw Ida and Geoff amongst the carpets. This is probably part of a roadblock?

We have to consider the proximity of the places. We know they're going to Barr Al Jissah and to Via Ferrata. So, the carpet store should be near in those places also. Is Muttrah near them? They are in Muscat and Nizwa area. That's one of our clues.

Since we have two hours of operations, one of them has to be in India. If both of them are in Oman, then it doesn't make sense.
