This is from Flickr account of James Khoo. Special thanks to RFF for finding this. Thanks, James, too

TAR 13 Spoilers - Page 2 Jon413

From the picture, you can see six Amazing Race markers in six boats. But we can't conclude if there are only six teams left competing in that Cambodia leg. From the angle where the photographer took the picture, there might be some boats with the marker also which were not included.

THE TASKS? They have to ride a boat from that point to the other end or side of the river.

From a forummer in TWOP named raceguy120390, his friend allegedly saw filming of TAR in Melbourne, Australia.

This is the link.

Apr 30, 2008 @ 10:22 pm Post#37

Just got off the phone with a friend of mine. Apparently - though I can't prove one way or the other because they don't have a camera and I'm stuck at uni - there's a flag on top of an office building on Elizabeth Street right now. The only likely task, if any, would be one of those 'look out the window and find a flag' deals. I'm thinking there's also a cluebox set up right now on the Rialto Towers Observation Deck, which would make sense because there's a new tower with a higher observation deck, and this gets fewer spoilerhunters like myself.

Firstly, crappy task, even if it's one I just speculated about, and secondly, evil making them visit Melbourne in the middle of a cold snap - currently it's around 1:20pm local time, and temperature is 10.2 degrees Celsius. [Americans, that's just a tiny fraction over 50 degrees Fahrenheit by my count - and yes, that is a cold snap by local standards.] Still, both Sydney and Cairns (and Darwin too?) were rainy when TAR came, so I suppose I shouldn't complain.

Yes, do you remember the picture of Phil preparing for his spiels?

HERE IS THE BLOG WHERE IT WAS PUBLISHED FIRST.

04 maig, 2008

TAR 13 Spoilers - Page 2 Empty Re: TAR 13 Spoilers

Post by JonL0ver Wed 07 May 2008, 10:08 pm

This is a post by the blogger Jason at RFF. Thanks RFF.

Hey everyone. Glad I could help with the Bangkok pics and info. As Peach posted, I can definitely identify 5 teams and think there was another but can't be sure. I know that sucks because you guys wanna know if people got kicked off recently. Sorry about that. Actually, I was chatting with a crew member in the customs line when they told me it was a documentary and I asked how many people there are in the "movie" and just threw 10 out there as a number and he said yeah so maybe there are only 5 teams left.

I can definitely say that the frat guys are the guys in my second set of pics, one with a yellow headband, one with a yellow hat. They were doing pullups on the bus ride from the plane. The 2 girls, one blond/reddish hair, one brunette, both from Texas. The couple with their backs to me in the other shot is a team, they had a number on the packs. Don't remember what it was. Then there's the young guy with the spikey hair and his mother and another M/F who are together but almost positive they're not a couple. That's all I saw in terms of contestants.

I can definitely say there was no african american team. There was one african american guy but he was a sound guy. That's it.

And the girls definitely passed through customs when the rest went another way. And in the picture with them, the black line to the left is the back of a thai lady's head. Airport security or information person trying to help them. I left them when they were still by the baggage claim trying to figure out what to do.

What else? ummmmm, I didn't see any older couple with the group. We were pretty much waiting in the small Siem Reap airport together for over an hour so I got a pretty good look at everyone that was there.

Again, glad to help as much as I can. I'm offline for a bit so may not respond quickly if anyone has any questions. I guess I'll have to start watching TAR now TAR 13 Spoilers - Page 2 0328

If you remember it right, an African-American couple was spotted near a river in Cambodia. So does this mean that they were eliminated in this leg?

So are you trying to say alenn_wafu that there is a leg in Thailand, not a connecting point only? Because, as per the blogger, a team he saw in Thailand Airport are asking him about an obscure place in India.

If you remember, a picture of a well chiselled guy wearing red in Los Angeles Airport. It was said that they are mother and son team. Well, a friend of the guy recognized him in the picture and he told RFF that he is racing with her brunette sister.

So it is not a mother and son tandem but sibling tandem (,)

Oh, what a find by me. I just came across a blog saying about a sighting of Amazing Race in Dubai Airport. The entry was just written today. I was trying to search in the net doing what the RFF people are doing and luckily, I found a goldmine.

Thanks to the blogger:

Amazing Race in Dubai

Oh my goodness. I think I've just heard the most frustrating news in my life.

I am a big fan of reality shows especially the Amazing Race. Though I only watched few seasons, I can say the show is great.

Hindi ko inaasahan ang aking narinig kagabi, as in kagabi talaga. My high school friend who is also in Dubai paid me a visit in my flat. So kailangan ko talaga mag-order ng tequila ng palihim since bawal sa Arab countries.

While we were having shots of tequila, medyo tipsy na at ala-una na yata ng umaga (eh, may pasok pa kami kinabukasan) naalala niya na hilig ko manood nga ng Amazing Race.

Then he began telling a story he heard from his friends who are working as ground stewards sa Dubai International Airport 2. My God.....I have been dreaming na makita ko rin sila while filming at dumating na nga sila sa area namin eh hindi ko pa rin sila nakita. So sabi ko that is the most frustrating news I've heard that day.

So I eagerly asked and grilled him.

At least kapag maipalabas na sa TV masasabi ko na "I was there" "I was there". LOL

Well, that is life. Hehehe. Sayang, that is a sighting din ng mga contestants for Amazing Race and I believe it is the Season 13.

Sigh. Sigh

How Ironic. The African-American team(probably a sibling team) is eliminated in the F6 (based on spoilers). They also have the same faith with Azaria and Hendekea..

I just would like to add another picture taken from that certain leg filmed in Cambodia from a nother blogger named Lorna Easter. This was dug by puddin of RFF.

TAR 13 Spoilers - Page 2 Ipab6p

Last weekend mum and I went up to Siem Reap for a long weekend. We stayed in a great place near the Old Market and spent most of the time checking out as many temples as humanly possible, shopping in town and making the most of relaxing by the pool. We saw plenty more temples we hadn’t seen on our last trip along with the favs – Ta Phrom, Bayon and Angkor Wat. We also took a trip out to the Ruolos temples which was well worth it. Make sure you check out season 13 of the Amazing Race. We were at Angkor Wat on Sunday and found the clue box! They were filming for hours and we spent half the time stalking the contestants looking for the next clue, it was hilarious! I’m sure they’ll be spending plenty of time editing us out of the background.

Post by JonL0ver Sat 10 May 2008, 8:55 pm

Here is another blog, confirming a sighting of Phil Keoghan in an airport in Santa Cruz, Bolivia on 29 April 2008.

THIS IS THE LINK.

Santa Cruz to Buenos Aires
Tuesday 29th April

Today we spent most of the day trying to get to Buenos Aires. Our flight was supposed to be at 1045, but on the way to the airport at 0900 - it started raining........and then came the thunder and lightning, and before we knew it we were in the midst of a pretty good storm. Oh well, nothing to do but sit and wait it out. Now, airports are not on my list of favourite places to be stuck at the best of times, and unfortunately Santa Cruz airport is fairly small, and thus lacks the distractions of copious amounts of duty free shopping, so we got very bored, very quickly, and basically sat reading our books for the next couple of hours - apart from when we saw Phil Keoghan (of Amazing Race fame) waiting for a plane too - now we are wondering if the Amazing Race was in town - that would be cool!

We finally took off at 1245, during a gap in the storm, and landed in BA at 1715. Flying over Argentina was completely different to many of the other places we have flown - for a start it was pretty flat. The agriculture also looked a lot more organised/westernised. It definitely looks more like a first world country. We are staying tonight at El Hostal de Granados in Sam Telmo (the artists/antiques barrio in BA) before flying to Puerto Iguazu in the morning. We had dinner at El Desnivel which is a Paradilla (Grill) Restaurant, where they serve huge chunks of steak which have been cooked over a wood-fired grill. Paradilla and red wine are the food that Argentina is famous for, so of course we had to partake in both. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pretty cool, very relaxed and laid-back, but still excellent service. The servings were huge, and the whole meal only cost us A$81 = NZ$32.

Post by JonL0ver Sun 11 May 2008, 8:01 pm

From the same BLOGGER who reported the sighting of Amazing Race at Dubai International Airport, he has this more to say. He also went me this to my e-mail address.

Here is the blog entry:

Saturday, May 10, 2008
Long Weekend

I figuratively had a long weekend. I travelled around the whole of United Arab Emirates in one day. Driving was not that fun but by passing the great views of the dessert, I can say I had a memorable weekend.

We went to Abu Dhabi first to fetch some friends, then we headed to Al Ain. The breathtaking views of the Green Mubazzarah and Jabeel Hafeet mad our trip forgetless. On our way down from the top of Jabeel Hafeet, we saw some cameramen along the road. I was excited to see them anticipating it was the Amazing Race but it was only a shooting of a local show.

Then we had a camp at Fujairah and spent the night there before going back to Dubai by passing Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Qiunn and Sharjah first.

I recieved a letter from a someone who read my blog about the sighting of the Amazing Race at the Dubai International Airport. I did not know that people around the world will be talking about that entry as described by the letter sender. Hi, JonLover of entermyworld.heavenforum.

Well, to answer the questions raised by JonLover, I am not also in the position to confirm whether the sighting was really the Amazing Race productions or racers. It was only told to me by a friend who is also reliable. And to make matters clear, we were not that really drank when we were talking about it. We were in our right senses. I asked my friend again if it was true and he guaranteed me that it was also told by his friend who really witnessed the commotion.

My friend's friend is woring for Terminal 2 but that time he saw the the racers apparently was in Terminal 1. He just saw from about 200 meters away people who are running towards the customs. Some of them are holding boom mikes and cameras. Most of them are carrying heavy back packs.

He just asked some airport staffs at the Dubai Duty Free what was the commotion is all about. From them, he got the information that it was a shooting of a travel and documentary show by a network based in the US. But they were thinking it was a filming of the Amazing Race because they seemed to be outrunning each other.

I hope this will answer all your queries and I will send this also to your e-mail.

I am suspecting they just changed planes in Dubai or it was a connecting flight.

TAR 13 Spoilers - Page 2 Empty U-TURN in La Paz, Bolivia

Post by JonL0ver Mon 12 May 2008, 1:45 am

Probably, the first U-turn of this Season of amazing Race has been revealed. I am a big fan of Puddin of RFF. She discovered this once more.

Here is a BLOGGER from La Paz, Bolivia who witnessed the filming of the show in her area.

11 May 2008

Winter is coming... again...
Hey folks!

Let me start by wishing all our friends and families that are mothers a Happy Mother's Day!!!

On this cloudy gray sunday morning, I figured I should write a blog because it's been a while and the last one was a quick one... But I still kinda feel like we have nothing to say. But we probably do. So I'll start on rambling about anything that comes to my mind and that might spark some interesting anecdotes.

Well first, on the subject of this blog, for the last 3 or 4 days there has been a complete sudden change in the weather and yeah, that means that winter is coming. Obviously, just coming from Montreal's winter, I'm not so thrilled about it. You know that winter is coming because it's cloudier, it never gets as warm in the afternoon even when there is sun, and at night there has been some pretty strong storm
(scary for a chicken like me) with heavy rain and super strong winds. The thing with living on the 16th floor of a building in a city shaped like a bowl is that there is no other building to shield your apartment from the wind. You can hear it howl, which then sparks catastrophic scenarios in my head where the windows explode and we are being sucked out of the apartment like in a plane. Because I'm insane and am also afraid of heights so I combine the two together. I'm learning to deal, especially given that it hasn't happened yet so I realise it might not be as common as I thought...

The rest of our days have been occupied by all sorts of bureaucratic steps, related to us trying to get a visa to stay, trying to get internet, etc. For the internet, in the last post I said that they would come by to install it within 15 days. Well in an unexpected turn of events, they showed up after only 4 days!!! And it works! I mentioned too how maddening the visa stuff was, but I really want to share the experience with you guys so I'll give you a step by step description of the day we went to Interpol and the police...

We had already gone to both places to ask for instructions, i.e. what do we need to get the piece of papers we need. Interpol were really nice. The police station was just a little more confusing... It is built like most Andean structures: you get in through the main door and you're faced with an outside parking lot/patio. It's really confusing. You expect a roof, with desks and people behind the desk to help you with stuff. After standing there for about 30 seconds all confused we started looking around and noticed stairs on the right side, with a thing that said INFORMATION at the top of them. That directed us to one flight of stairs up to a posted list of everything we need for our 2 documents. It's a loooooong list.

So we show up again at least ready for the interpol form and it took about an hour and a half total to get our prints and ask us questions about our parents, where we live, etc. By the end of it it was 11:30 and I was famished so we decided to have quick lunch close by then go up to the police station because we realised there was a lot of stuff we didn't understand from their spanish instructions. The lunch place we went to only opened at noon, so we bummed around a bit. Then around 1pm we were out and ready to go to the police, but I suddenly got suspicious... "Do you think they close the police station for lunch here? It can't be, I mean, they're the police and crime happens at lunch too..." Ah, the innocence... Of course the police station closes for lunch! From noon to 2pm!!! So we went to an internet place and waited. At exactly 2pm we are at the 2nd floor where we need to be and there's a line up of people waiting for it to open. We asked our questions (one of them being do we need witnesses to which the guy said no but since the secretary at the Archaeology Institute swears we do need them) and then left. But we knew one of the thing we needed was a letter from a lawyer and during all our waiting time we had noticed how there was tons of lawyer offices right next to the police. We went in to see one and got our letters (2 each) really quickly for about 3.50$ each letter. That's cheaper than I thought for hiring a lawyer! Then the lawyer swears that with this letter and our passport photocopies, we can apply for one of the two things we need from the police for our visa... So we decide to go back again... Oh my...

We get to the 2nd floor, say what we want, show our stuff. The guy says we still need our Interpol certificate (which we will only have 13 days later) but we show the receipts we got from Interpol so he tells us that will do but we need to go up one flight of stairs and have it authorized or something like that. Bear in mind all this is in spanish and we understand some but not all. We go up one flight of stairs and obviously there is about 10 doors and the guy never said where we needed to go. By some incredible luck, just walking around and looking at titles on doors we found the right one straight away. The nice lady there tells us what she really needs is a photocopy of our Interpol receipt. So we go down 3 flights of stairs, cross the street, photocopy it, go back up 3 flights of stairs, and get here to certify our photocopy of receipt. We can now go back down one flight of stairs, wait back in line to talk to the first guy who gives information. We give him our stuff and they start painting our fingers black again for more fingerprints! And they only have an ink-filled rag to help you clean up afterwards. We think we are done then the guy looks at our stuff again and says "this is for local and not international? Then you have to go at the desk at the back of the room". Now the "room" is a corridor with one desk next to the other, no way to form a line up. "The desk at the end" are multiple desks and we don't know which one we need. We just go "in line" at one, hoping it's the right one. It's really long because the one guy works at 2 of the desks (I guess lunch time wasn't long enough, someone still didn't show up). Because it's long I send Wes to ask some other guy where we should go and the old man says we need to go back to the front of the corridor. So we do. And it was wrong. We really needed to be at the desk where we were waiting and now lost our spot. We wait some more until we get to give our stuff. Now, we were told that was the easiest paper to get, and the fastest - one guy even said it's 5 days for Canadians. We were there May 1st and the guy tells us that 1) we need to go back there to give him the Interpol paper on May 13th when we'll receive it, and 2) it will be ready May 26th. MAY 26TH!!! Oh, and by the way, my visa to stay here expired today (May 11th). And I can't get another one, I need the one we are working on right now. Now, I'm not doing anything illegal, the guys at immigration told me once I show up with all my things I will only pay a fee per day I didn't have a visa - and it's a rather small fee. Also, that was the easy piece of paper to get at the police, we still have to get the complicated one where we need to provide a copy of our landlord's passport (?!), the Interpol thing obviously, and all sorts of fun little details... I promise I wont write you a detailed account of how it happened, that would be way too long.

ok, fun tidbits now! The day we took possession of our apartment we were crossing the park in front of our building and noticed a lot of people and some really weird all wood bicycles. I noticed a lot of the people around them looked like the rich gortex-wearing tourist we see and/or the Discovery Channel crew that worked with us last year. Then I noticed it: a yellow signed that said "U-Turn" with a yellow and red flag on it... It was The Amazing Race!!!!! (It's a fun reality show, google it if you don't know what it is) I was sooooooo excited! I was torn between staying there until contestants showed up or going into our apartment. Given Wes' lack of enthusiasm I decided to go back home. But hey, next Amazing Race they will be showing our building and our park!

ok, not so fun tidbit but not too bad, last monday at noon all our electric appliances stopped working. We went to the administration of the building and found out that the last renter didn't pay her electricity bill for the last 3 months so they cut us (Electropaz, not the administration). I am so happy to have the administration to help us with all sorts of things here (although we do pay them a monthly fee). The lady called our landlord and she figured out from old records how much was due and he went and paid it. Just to make this more stressful and annoying that's the day the internet people called to say they'd show up the next day. I was so afraid we'd still be out of electricity so that they wouldn't be able to install the modem! But the administration lady swore to me that they usually put it back the same day at 7pm if it gets paid. Because I didn't want to be flicking the light switches on and off every two minutes to check if electricity was back, we decided to go see Iron Man. It rocked. And when we came back, electricity was back too. And I'm out.
